When i think of soft and spongy poha dosa my memory goes back to my Bangalore days there were i had tasted first poha dosa also named as set dosa which are very soft and sponge and super delicious.The main fact about this dosa is they stay soft for long tie unlike the regular dosa they dont get dried quick hence this can be a great option for the kids lunch box or even for travel long journey.
This soft dosa is also very popular in andhra called Atukula Dosa.I have a great bond with Andhra cuisine as i stayed i Hyderabad for eight long years.Today i am serving this dosa with Andhras spicy tangy tomato chutney along with coconut chutney.

Ingredients:
Idli Rice:2 Cups
Urad Dhal:12 Tbsp
Poha(Aval): 1 cup
Fresh Cocunut: 1 Cup
Salt
Method for grinding Poha Dosa Batter:
First soak the idli rice along with urad dhal for 6 to 7 hrs atleast .
Grind them to a smooth paste .
Soak poha for 2 minutes now grind it along with the freshly grated coconut add this to the idli rice batter.
Add salt mix well and allow it to ferment for 8 hrs
Method for making Dosa:
Take a laddle full of batter pour in the hot dosa tawa.
You can cook either on one side by covering or both sides.
oil is optional while cooking this dosa.
Soft & Sponge poha dosa ready to be served with chutney of your choice.
