Kids Breakfast/Lunch Box- Authentic Spinach Paratha with Roasted Split Gram


Roasted Chana Dhal also called as Roasted Split Gram is a rich source of proteins, minerals, fibre and fatty acids too. 

Like any other Legumes due to it’s high nutritional benefit,s traditionally this has been valued very  high by our ancestors. 

I always remember those olden days my grand mom used to offer me roasted Chana dhal Chikki for the protein requirement. It is time for us to now share the goodness of this food to our children too.

Spinach roasted split gram paratha 

Ingredients:



Whole wheat flour(Atta)
:
2 Cups
Roasted Channa flour
:
1/2 Cup
Spinach (finely chopped)
:
1 Cup
Ajwain (Carom Seeds)
:
Small tbsp
Salt
:
To Taste
Amchur Powder (Mango Spicy Powder
:
Small tbsp
Red chilli powder
:
1 tbsp
Ghee
1/4th cup


Preparation method:

Take a bowl add whole wheat flour(Atta) and the roasted Chana dhal powder, salt for taste and all the above ingredients together. 

Add little ghee and water slowly to make like a soft dough. 

Let it rest for 30 minutes or even you can prepare this dough night before and use it the next day however bring the dough to room temperature before making purchases. 

Heat Tawa one side and the other side take little dough and roll it over gently.

Cook both sides using generous ghee and serve it with fresh curds. 

You may even want to try out with cheese dips for lunch box.
